Windmill (1806) and the North End Cemetery (1770) are located on the
Memorial Green at the north end of Main Street in an area known as "the
hook" which was part of the original commons (public land) created
by the first settlers. The Memorial Green and nearby historic buildings
and residences are part of the Hook Historic District.
The East Hampton Fire Department's 2016 fireworks show will be held on Saturday, August 27th at Main Beach, (rain date Sunday, August 28th) starting at dusk. Parking is on a first-come first-serve basis, no parking permit is required and there is no reserved parking. No vehicles are allowed on the beach from Egypt Beach to Georgica Beach inclusive.
